Due to our customers – centric approach , we felt the need for supply of tailor made components of all electrical insulating material to our customers , We started a well equipped fabrication unit in 1999 under the banner of

Bakelite Sheet :
Bakelite Sheet BAKELITE sheet is also known as Hylam sheet, Tufnol sheet, Norplex Sheet, Micarta Sheet,Synthetic Resin Bonded Paper Base Sheet (SRBP) Phenolic Sheet, Fabric Sheet, Laminated Sheet, Synthetic Resin Bonded Fabric base Sheet (SRBF). BAKELITE sheet are hard, dense material made by applying heat and pressure to layers of Cellulose Paper or Fabric cloth impregnated with synthetic resin (Phenolic Resin). When heat and pressure are applied Polymerization transforms the layers into Thermosetting Industrial Laminates. BAKELITE sheet is produced in different grades with various additives to meet diverse Mechanical,Electrical and Thermal Requirements. Some of the Grades manufactured with comparative are Given below.

USAGE

Bakelite Sheet are used for various application Electrical as well as mechanical, such as Electric Plug, Switches, Switchgear, Tube Light Holder, Lamp cap, Chokes, Support for Electrical Components, Shrouding , Transformers, Battery Chargers Control Panels, Bobbins, Condensor Mountings, Tap Changer, Grid cover Aramture wedges, Generator Slot wedges, Machineries, Mould.

BAKELITE / HYLAM sheet are fabricated as per design or samples. For Punched Components Die has o be made. We have our own fabrication unit having facility for Cutting, drilling, shaping of material. We have following machine: Lathe, Bandsaw, Milling, drilling, Tool Grinder, Motorized Shearing Machine, Oven, CNC Router, Power press, Circular Saw.

COLOR These Rods are supplied in natural Brown Colour
DIAMETER Standard Range is 4.0mm to 150.0mm diameter, but on special requirement we can manufacture up to 300mm dia
LENGTH These Rods are supplied in straight standard length of 305mm (1'), 610 mm (2') or 1000 mm.
DESCRIPTION These Moulded Rods are composed of laminations of Phenolic Synthetic resins impregnated cotton Fabric into a convolute form, moulded in cylindrical Moulds under heat and pressure and then ground to size, buffed & varnished to semi Glossy finish. These Rods are with clean smooth free from surface defects such as voids, Blisters cracks etc.,
APPLICATION These Fiber Phenolic Rods are intended for Fabrications of Mechanical components such as spacers, washers, etc., it is not recommended for Primary insulation for Electrical application involving commercial power frequencies at voltage about 600 volts Material is resistant to dilute solutions of most acids. It is poor for using alkaline solutions, it remains unaffected by most organic solvents except acetone, which may soften the material.
MACHINERY These Rods are capable of being turned, drilled, tapped sawed and machined in all directions without showing any sign of cracking, splitting or otherwise impairing the serviceability of material.

DESCRIPTION : This grade exhibits extremely high mechanical strengths (flexural, impact and bonding) at room temperature. Good Dielectric loss and electric strength properties under both dry and humid conditions.
