Electrochem was started in 1987 with an idea of introducing new surface coating techniques like Electroless Nickel plating, hard coat anodizing, composite coatings like nickel- PTFE and other processes. Since then Electrochem has established good reputation in industry.

The proprietor of Electrochem - Mr. Shrikant Bhave, who is a graduate in Metallurgical Engineering - is always aware of the importance of setting proper pre-treatment and surface coating techniques to achieve consistently good quality coatings. Hence to put up good quality equipment and chemistry for these processes we have established good relations with companies like Palm International Inc. of U.S.A. and Yttec AB, Sweden. Because of them we can very well say that we can offer our customers one of the best facilities for these processes in India.

To have consistent process control, we have set up required analytical laboratory and equipment like salt spray apparatus, surface roughness tester, thickness testing facility for anodizing etc. Well-qualified chemist who keeps the records regularly & handles the lab.

Along with the above processes, we also offer Glass Bead blasting & S.S. electro polishing facilities. At present we have 1000 liters hard coat anodizing bath with 600A power source and 750 liters, electroless nickel plating system with steam heating facility. We have got, know how , to treat various aluminum cast and wrought alloys for hard anodizing. Our clients are over 150 in numbers and up till now we have treated plain carbon steels, stainless steels, copper and copper alloys, aluminum and ceramics. We deposit various components used in electronics, surgical, chemical, machinery, moulds and dies, food and packaging, paper machinery, compressor and air tools and other industries. Also offer Nickel - PTFE composite coating.

Electroless Nickel Plating can be applied on most metals like Plain Carbon, High Alloy Steels, Aluminum, Copper & Copper Alloys etc. This process is carried out by auto catalytic process without applying electric current. The deposit has a high corrosion resistance against most of the chemicals. It has also got very good wear resistance and low coefficient of friction. In response to increasing demand for environmentally purer products - "ELECTROCHEM's Process" is free of lead and cadmium additives.

UNIFORM DEPOSIT
This being a chemical deposition process, it gives uniform Plating thickness, all over, even if shape of the article is intricate.

HARD DEPOSIT:
The hardness of the Electroless Nickel Deposit is 45 - 50 RC after plating. It can be increased to 65 RC by low temperature baking.

Hard Coating Anodising gives thicker and harder layer on Aluminum than usual Anodising. The layer can be around 0.100mm thick. The abrasive wear resistance of Hard Anodized layer is better than that of hard chrome, Electroless nickel and Nitrided steel. Hard Coat Anodizing opens new doors to your design work and gives possibilities for more cost efficient constructions. Electrochem has developed hard coat Anodising in technical collaboration with YttecAB of Sweden.
