Auto Self-Cleaning Filter

The modern factories handling huge volumes of Cooling Water, Process Water & Waste Water puts high emphasis on the filtration systems used for the water, as the same has to be recycled to main processes.
Ell Ess "Auto Self Cleaning Filter" employs Welded Wedge Wire Candles as filter media, which offers  the unique feature of backwashing of the filter media through the automated PLC & timer circuit, guarantees uninterrupted filtration using the same filtrate solution. 
The fluid to be filtered flows via two ends into the inside of the non-clogging Welded Wedge Wire candles with inverted radial construction. In this way the solid particles to be filtered out are retained over the whole length of the inside of candles so that full filtering area is uniformly used. As compared to filtration operation the back-flushing time is only few seconds.

Auto Brush Cleaning Filter (Brush Type)

The viscous liquids like paints & pigments, gums, glues etc., which have the property of skin formation when they come in contact with air. This skin needs to be filtered before they go for further processing. As most of this processes being continuous, it is required to remove the solids deposited from the filter media continuously in order to achieve uninterrupted operation. Ell Ess “Self Cleaning Filter – Brush Type” employs Welded Wedge Wire type filter elements, with internal rotating brush mechanism for cleaning the filter element.

    V-Sep Static Screen

    The V-SEP Static screen consists of basic outer casing, which can be manufactured, in fiberglass-reinforced plastic, M.S. or S.S. The screen will be in S.S. The screen is of non-clogging Welded Wedge Wire construction and can be provided with different width and slot openings based on the requirement. Slot opening as low as 50 microns can be provided. Depending on the solid characteristics there are two versions of the V-SEP Static screen: -

    1) Gravity Flow (for free flowing, coarse solid particles)
    2) High pressure tangential flow type (for fibrous and sticky particles)

    V-Sep Rotary Drum

    The V-SEP Rotary Drum is a time tested and proven tannery effluent filtration equipment employed widely in the tanneries in Europe and South America. It employs the latest non-clogging, surface filtration, metallic Welded Wedge Wire filter element, which gives high cleaning efficiency with scrapper cleaning mechanism and backwashing. The V-SEP Rotary Drum provides continuous, unattended filtration up to 250 micron rating ensuring negligible maintenance and operating cost.

    The solids from the primary filtration equipments carry a lot of moisture with them, which has to be dewatered further. The V-SEP Screw Compactor efficiently does the job.
    For the treatment of very wet solids, either a V-SEP Static Screen or V-SEP Rotary Drum can be well coupled before the V-SEP Dewatering Press. The compacting chamber is made up of Axial Internal construction Welded Wedge Wire element, which has a high mechanical resistance due to the self-supporting structure and external reinforcements.

    Candle Filter

    The conventional filter for solid-liquid filtration is very cumbersome to operate and to maintain. The filter cloth has to be scrubbed for cleaning. The entire assembly will have to be opened out every time for washing, resulting in the surrounding area becoming dirty. The operation and maintenance of this unit is labour oriented. Also the scrubbing of cloth every time results in reducing the quality of cloth (increase in slot opening). All has lead to the design of a Candle Filter wherein the cleaning operation is done in a closed circuit.

    Pressure Leaf Filter (Brine Polishing Filter)

    For efficient performance of a Membrane Technology Based Caustic Soda Plant, clean brine is to be supplied to the electrolyzer. Brine with impurities reduces the permeability of the membrane, increases the electrolysis voltage, shortens the service life of membrane thus increases the plant running cost. Therefore, good filtration equipment is essential. The clarity of the brine after thickener varies depending upon load fluctuations, temperature change, change in the property of slurry and floc. In the Membrane Technology Based Caustic Soda Plants, for filtering the brine, a precoat Pressure Leaf Filter, which has the advantage of producing stabilized, high-grade clean brine, is commonly used.
