Tungsten Carbide Gauges
Introduction
 
Mikronix Tungsten Carbide Slip Gauges are manufactured from specially selected grade of Carbide with hardness of 1500 Vickers. Rigid attention is paid throughout the manufacturing process for flatness, parallelism and every slip gauge is rigorously checked and calibrated in our NABL accredited laboratory.
 
Why Tungsten Carbide ?
The mere suspicion that carbide is a brittle material had held back its use for quite some time, till a number of actual trials were conducted. It is some 50 years, since tests in the USA indicated that hard metal slips could outlast steel by at least ten times and in certain conditions even 100 times.

Mikronix Tungsten Carbide Slip Gauges are offered in metric sizes from 0.2mm to 100 mm and in inch sizes from 0.01 to 4 inches. They can be supplied in standard sets to meet any grade of national or international standard. The sets mentioned here are commonly used and manufactured by us ; any other sets can be supplied against specific requirement. Metric sets are manufactured with 1mm & 2mm base. Sets of 2mm base are recommended by BS4311 for extra rigidity.

Angle Slip Gauges
Introduction
 
"Mikronix" introducing Angle Slip Gauges as per IS : 6231 - 1971 , designed for the inspection and calibration of angle, tapers, indexing plates, rotary scales, clinometers, dividing heads, rotary tables etc.
 
Materials
 
Angle Gauge Blocks are made from High Carbon High Chromium Steel which has the properties of aging stability in dimensions and wear resistance. The working surfaces are hardened to 800HV. Also Angle Gauge Blocks available in Tungsten Carbide.
 
Scope
 
These angle gauges together with the square block used to obtain any angle between 0 and 360 degrees in steps of 6 seconds.

• Wringing property similar to slip gauges.
• High degree of reflectivity which enables    them to   be used with    an autocollimator.

Note: Any angle beyond 81° in the case of Set A and 90° in the case of Set B, can be obtained suitably using the precision square block of steel provided along with each set. The above sets along with the square block enable to be built up to 6 seconds, that is to within ±3 seconds of the required angle.
