Dear Sir,Best Greetings!Currently we are using a Tungsten carbide die for cold punching of high carbon steel wire. But there is the problem of early wear and tear of the die hence need to replace it after every 15kgs of production. This results in increase machine downtime, extra man-hours, efforts, and loss of production as well as impacting the quality of punch of material. I am requesting your expert advice if any better grade of material (e.g. Titanium) is available which can give longer life during punching operation for cutting of teeth in high carbon steel wire. 1) The hardness of the die piece is coming 1461 to 1504 VPN2) The hardness of high carbon steel wire during cold punching or teeth cutting operation is 250 – 350VPNI have attached the dimensions and photos of our current TC die blank for your reference and expecting another material of the same size.
