Activated alumina is a filter media made by
treating aluminum ore so that it becomes porous and highly adsorptive.
Activated alumina will remove a variety of contaminants including excessive
fluoride, arsenic and selenium. The medium requires periodic cleaning with
an appropriate regenerate such as alum or acid in order to remain effective.
A white or
slightly red particle, ball-shaped or roll-shaped, activated alumina is
insoluble in water and organic solvent, soluble in strong acids and alkalis,
odorless, tasteless and non-toxic |
|
|
|
GRANULAR ACTIVATED CARBON is also available with desired size and Iodine
value, which is usually used for Tertiary Treatment in Effluent Treatment
Plant.
We are also fully equipped to supply tailor made Activated Carbon as per
customers requirement.
We can also offer Bacteriostatic Activated Carbon which is a silver or
palladium impregnated carbon to remove color, taste and odor from water. It
also avoids bacterial growth in carbon beds. It protects the filters and
cartridges from being contaminated and extends the life of ion - exchange
beds. |

Ferrous Sulphide (FeS) is a dark gray solid, insoluble in water, but very
readily decomposed in an acidic environment with the release of
toxic and explosive Hydrogen Sulphide Gas. It is almost completely soluble in hot acids, resulting in
the liberation of Hydrogen Sulphide. FERROUS SULPHIDE is not readily decomposed in the presence
of moist air.
When
increased sulphur levels are required, FERROUS SULPHIDE provides
clean, accurate and controlled additions without environmental
problems.
