Conventional Dry Type Power Transformers :

Control Transformers:

Range upto 500 kva, 11 kv. Self cooled, separate copper windings & insulation suitable for conditions of high humidity & frequent condensation.
Transformers suitable for use at relative humidity more than 80% & large daily temperature changes are manufactured using special insulation.

The output ratings for continuous duty are for the maximum output voltage. For lower voltage taps the permissible output with constant current must be correspondingly reduced. The output supply for an ambient temperature of maximum 45°C & altitudes upto 1000 meters above sea level. In case of continuous duty with short time loads, Control Circuit Transformers can be subjected to upto 300 contactor operations per hour with the short time loads in excess of the continuous ratings. The restaurant drop of the on - load output voltage will not exceed 5%.

Line Reactors, Commutating Chokes :

For Thyristor Drives upto 2000 Amps A.C. These are used to smoothen the effect of spikes arising due to firing of Thyristor.
