Real Time Power Factor Correction Controllers ( RTPFC )

   

Real Time Power Factor Correction Controllers (RTPFC) offers a complete solution for Automatic Power Factor Correction employing thyristor based switching of capacitors.

RTPFC ensures Quick Response Time (of a few electrical cycles) enabling Real time Power factor correction in critical industrial conditions. It reduces Transmission Distribution (TD) losses, minimises Peak or Maximum Demand (MD) in power consumption and maintains power factor close to unity (1.00).

Models offered are: TRPF 02 (Single Phase Sensing) and TPF 35 (Three Phase Sensing).

Capacitor Duty Switches - Thyristor Switching Units

   

The thyristor switches are rapid electronic power switches for capacitive loads with high speed switching capacity and are designed to support the supply of voltage distribution systems and correct the power factor of connected loads.

These thyristor switches provide for noiseless and wearless control of the capacitors, thus eliminating the mains reactions in terms of transients and thereby extending the lifetime of the capacitors.

Reactors - Detuned Reactors

   

Harmonic Filters correct poor power factor, while avoiding potential dangerous resonance points, particularly associated with the 5th and 7th harmonic. They are also useful in eliminating or reducing power factor penalties levied by the power body.

  • Copper wound reactors with 150% continuous RMS rating with 100% current THD-F factor.
