Dear Sir,Best greetings!Currently, we are doing surface and side grinding on TOPS products by using a grinding machine. We are doing the grinding of staple pins by using stone as per the attached picture and video with a certain feed of the grinding wheel and rpm of the machine. During final surface grinding, we are facing the problem of extra surface grinding or over-grinding which results in cutting the extra metal of the tip surface of staple pins. Over grinded staple pins tips become blunt or become flat instead of sharp, which are required for further carding application. To overcome this issue, we would like to change the process from stone grinding to emery grinding. Please advise emery grinding material along with technical spec and quotation.
