Sand Filter
Sand Filter Sand Filter  

The Multigrade Sand Filter is a depth filter that makes use of coarse and fine media mixed together in a fixed proportion. This arrangement produces a filter bed with adequate pore dimensions for retaining both large and small suspended particles.

This filter performs at a substantially higher specific flow rate than conventional filters. Specific flow rates of 15-30m/h have been successfully obtained for treating water containing 50-25ppm suspended solids respectively to produce a filtrate with less than 5ppm.

• Raw water can be used for backwashing the filter.

• Higher specific flow rate than conventional downflow filters thereby saving on Space & cost.

• Very little maintenance required.

• Lower backwash water requirement.

• The Multigrade sand filters filter is an ideal choice for all applications where a conventional sand filter is    used.

• It is extensively used in sidestream filtration of cooling water & in potable water treatment.

• It is ideal for filtration of clarified water.

• In addition it finds application in sea water filtration & in filtration of chemical solutions.

• For these types of filtrations rubber lined or epoxy painted filters can be offered.

Specifications :

• One vertical cylindrical Mild steel/FRP pressure vessels with dished ends. Mild Steel pressure vessel    are painted internally with anticorrosive bitumastic paint and externally with a protective coat of red    oxide primer.

• One set of internal water distribution & collection system.

• One initial charge of filter sand & underbed material

• One set of frontal pipework & valves.

• Two pressure gauges to monitor head loss across the filter.

• One orifice board(optional) for indicating wash water flow to be fitted in drain sump. Maximum /   minimum operating pressure will be 3.5kg/cm2g & 2.0 kg/cm2g respectively.

• Multigrade sand filters are available from 600 to 3000mn diameters.

Carbon Filter
Our range of NG series of manual activated carbon filters are manufacture using granular activated carbon as media, making them ideally suited for dechlorination of water with free chlorine content & for the effective removal of organic matter. We use superior grade of fibre reinforced plastic (FRP) and allied materials that helps in making our products more durable.

The Industrial Softeners is a manually operated ion exchange unit designed specially for industrial use. It is simple to operate, inexpensive to maintain and is widely used in the industry.
The softener comprises Steel /FRP pressure vessels containing a bed of cation exchange resin, a regenerating system and control valves.

A strongly acidic cation exchange resin in sodium form is used to exchange sodium ions for the hardness –forming calcium and magnesium ions, and thus produce soft water .
At the end of each service cycle, the ion exchange resin is regenerated with sodium chloride solution, after which the units is ready for the next service cycle.

For larger plants, a brine measuring tank is provided, and a separate salt saturator, preferably in concrete, is recommended for bulk storage of salt and preparation of brine.
Standard equipments is available to soften water,upto a maximum flow rate of 275m3/h.

• One combined salt tank/brine measuring tank, provided with brine suction piping with adjustable    indicating clamps, hydraulic ejector and control valves.

Scarcity of good quality water has increased our dependence on ground water sources. This brackish or saline water is unfit for drinking or for industrial use unless properly treated. Reverse osmosis, a membrane desalination process increasingly used worldwide, purifies brackish water for drinking and industrials purposes.

Reverse osmosis membrane technology produces water with very low dissolved solids and which is also free from particulate, colloidal and organics matter.
